Emotional Characteristics
Pa Joad has a really intense love for his family because he is always trying what is best for his family, and also he always tries to look out for them and maintaining them. Even though Ma Joad assumes the roll of the leader he keeps loving his family and wanting the best for them.

This statement should be supported with evidence.
"Emotional Status" doesn't express quite well what you mean. I wopuld change for Emotional Traits or Emotional Make-up or even Emotional Characteristics.
