Pa Joad feels really worried because if they catch Tom in California he will be in parole. This is something that he cant control the situation, also he has no option because there is no job in Oklahoma, and if he goes to California and they catch Tom he will sent back to Oklahoma’s jail. But at the same time he feels glad about Tom coming back home.
