Role in the Family

At the beginning of the book Pa Joad is the one who makes the decisions in the Joads family, like for example when he takes the decision to go to California because he beliefs that’s the best for his family. But as the story goes on and they move to California, Ma Joad starts to participate more in the families decisions, and then Pa Joad kind of accepts that know the one who makes the decisions is Ma Joad.
